Carve It Up - Scrapbooking Halloween Pumpkin Carving Layouts

This week's layout is all about carving pumpkins! To carry the theme, I used Doodlebug's Halloween Paprade Paper Collection - the pumpkins and jack-o-lanterns are adorable, perfect for a kids' Halloween page.

Here's how I created this page, start to finish:

I added the title after I added the photos and stopped filming my video. Here's how I made the title:
  1. Arrange Foam Sticker Letters (Thickers by Amy Tangerine for American Crafts) onto a piece of scrap sticker backing.
  2. Insert the letters, facedown, intot he Xyron 1.5" "X" Sticker Maker and run through.
  3. Peel the plastic from the strip and shake glitter onto the letters.
  4. If there is any white visible from the letters, ink that area with a ColorBox Pigment Ink pad in Antique Pewter.
  5. Apply the stickers to the layout as desired.
Supplies:
  • Doodlebug's Halloween Parade Collection
  • Xyron 1.5" Sticker Maker
  • Xyron Foam Squares from the Teresa Collins Xyron Adhesive Kit
  • Xyron Mega Runner
  • Zig Marker
  • Clearsnap Glitter
  • ColorBox Pigment Ink Cat's Eye in Antique Pewter
  • American Crafts Thickers Foam Stickers by Amy Tangerine

The Daily Scrapbook Page - Layout #22

Hi there friends! Even though we live in California, we still got a bit of country...especially here in the High Desert where my family lives.

The Jimbo Lojik stamps are a ball of laughs but each set has a stamp "sentiment" that offers a little bit of wisdom too. Right away, when I saw this "sentiment" on the top of courage and getting "back in the saddle", I knew I had the perfect photos!

The Daily Scrapbook Page - Layout #21

Tonight ..... Tonight....these moon faces on this Graphic 45 paper makes me think of that song from Smashing Pumpkins! I think it was the music video or the album art....anywho!

This paper is all the leftovers from Layout #18. Consider challenging yourself to make as many projects as possible with the paper you've selected until it is all used up. One of my friends, Alondra Ladison, shared that she scraps the leftovers of her layouts into cards right away - there's nothing to put aay because she uses it all up and she always has cards at the ready for every occasion. You can do the same things with layouts - make a layout after your first layout!

This layout uses one of my favorite techniques - dripping! This is great for Halloweenandspooky pages. It's also a fun way to "get messy"!

Here's how I made this layout:

Supplies:

  • Paper - Graphic 45
  • Smooch Spritz in Copper, Smooch Accent Ink in Tuxedo, Basic Necessities Spritz Bottle - Clearsnap
  • Acrylic Paint - Delta
  • Tape Runner- Bazzill
  • Circle Punches - Marvy Uchida, EK Success
  • Corrugated Paper - Fancy Pants
  • Pinking Shears - Joann Fabrics Stores
  • Purple Gem Brads - Creative Imagintaions (I believe)
  • Adhesive Studs - EK Success
  • Feather - hydrangeahippo.etsy.com
  • Silhouette Sticker - Bo Bunny Press

The Daily Scrapbook Page - Layout #17

Today it is all about BACON! This layout is all about using your stash - even if things dont macth erpofectly, like pink + red, you can still get them to pull together on a layout by keeping the colors similar throughout. I used lots of old stash from variou manufacturers on this one--all I did was look for pink/red, yellow, and blue elements with a tiny bit of green:

Here's how I made this layout:

Supplies:

  • Paper - by Bo Bunny Press, in the FAMILY IS kit here:http://bit.ly/FamilyIS
  • Stickers - October Afternoon, Cosmo Cricket, Crate Paper, American Crafts, Webster's Pages, Echo Park Paper
  • Brad - Basic Grey (I believe....)
  • Note paper- http://bit.ly/FamilyIS
  • Journaling Pen- Sakura
