The Daily Scrapbook Page - Layout #15

This lay9out was all about having fun and using things that had been sitting in my drawers FOREVER! Do you have supplies like that? You love them but you forget to use them every time you create and somehow a year passes and you never used that item?!

Also, I wanted to try out a brand new toy -- the Zink hAppy printer being advertised on HSN! Idon't even have TV but I got suckered in when someone posted the link on Facebook and I had to see what it was all about. I mean, it didn't seem like a bad investment for 5 payments on easy pay... well, watch the video to see what I thought of it.

Here's how I made this layout:

Supplies:
  • Glitter, ColorBox Premium Dye Ink, ColorBox Stylus and Tips Set - Clearsnap
  • Cardstock - Bazzill, American Crafts
  • Cupcake Liners, Doily, Sequin Star, Burlap, Thread, While You Were Note - hydrangeahippo.etsy.com
  • Adhesive Bling - Kaiser Craft
  • Alpha Stickers - Webster's Pages, October Afternoon (tan)
  • Paper - Sonburn Designs
  • Washi Tape - Jillibean Soup, Sassfras Lass, Freckled Fawn
  • Stickers - Echo Park Paper, Making Memoris, EK Success
  • Die Cuts - Silhouette Cameo
  • Inka Gold - Viva Decor
  • Template - The Crafter's Workshop
  • Border Punch - Fiskars
  • Glue Gun
  • 3D Foam Dots - American Crafts
  • PVA White Book Binding Glue
  • Photos - printed on the Zink hAppy printer via the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 SmartPhone

The Daily Scrapbook Page - Layout #14

After seeing my cats tear up my impossibly large ribbon stash (and that's not all of it) I decided to issue a Ribbon Stash Challenge:

This layout is one example of a way to use a bunch of bits of ribbon on one page. All you need is a handy dandy Xyron Create-A-Sticker and you're on your way!

I also used some other supplies that I had been neglecting, like Viva Decor Pearl Pens, Brads, and scraps from my paper stash:

Here's how I made this layout:

Supplies:
  • Elements from the "Vintage Mint" monthly Kit at Hydrangea Hippo
  • Paper - Bo Bunny Press
  • Ribbons - from stash
  • Rowlux Illusion Film
  • Dies by Sizzix
  • Brads by Basic Grey
  • Xyron Adhesive
  • Smooch Accent Ink by Clearsnap
  • Viva Decor Pearl Pens
  • Embellies by hydrangeahippo.etsy.com
  • Pen by Kuretake Zig
  • Washi Tape
  • Stickers by October Afternoon

The Daily Scrapbook Page - Layout #13

Do you have lots of stamps that you never seem to use. Yeah, me too! This layout is all about trying to use stamps in different ways to make a unique background. I also do some resist techniques with Heidi Swapp's papers by Pink Paislee...

See how I layered the stamped images to make a cool background with depth? Just choose stamps on a theme (cameras in this) and that you love (flourishes and heart here) and the design will flow together. Using a virtually monochromatic scheme of turquoise + white + kraft also helps tie it all together.

Here's how I made this layout:

Supplies:
  • Elements from the "Vintage Mint" monthly Kit at Hydrangea Hippo
  • ColorBox Frost White Pigment Inkpad - Clearsnap
  • ColorBox Archival Dye Inkpad - Clearsnap
  • Washi Tape
  • ColorBox Stylus & Tips Set - Clearsnap
  • Smooch Spritz in Vanilla Shimmer - Clearsnap
  • Pink Paislee Fabric Borders
  • Stickers - Webster's Pages
  • Heart Stamp - Unity Stamp Co
  • Flourish Stamp - La Blanche
  • Camera Stamp - Hero Arts
  • Aperature Stamp - Bo Bunny Press
  • Kraft Cardstock, Pleated Cardstock - Bazzill

The Daily Scrapbook Page - Layout #12

Tonight I decided to do a Google Hangouts On Air to capture the making of this layout. It was fun! I will do them again so follow me on social media (see all those buttons at the bottom of this post) to catch when Iannounce them. They are kind of on the fly ... luckily they always get recorded so you can watch later if you can't watch and chat LIVE :)

This page is all about using up your stash. A few diecuts, some scraps of paper, OLD paper getting used up, digging through embellies I don't want to put away, and experimenting, with Smooch Accent Ink in this case. I hope you enjoy it!

Like I said in the video, I don't particularly love single photo layouts because they are not practical to those of us scrapping for not just the love of creating but also to save our memories. Even though this page has one mat, I can include more photos using a strip of smaller images or use the mat to hold 2 smaller pics. Consider ways to adapt single photo designs to include more photos.

Here's how I made this layout ("today" and pointer diecuts added after video stopped):

Supplies:

  • Smooch Spritz in Gold Glow - Clearsnap
  • Smoch Accent Ink in Silver, Spruce, Lime Twist - Clearsnap
  • Diecuts - Silhouette America
  • Punches - Fiskars, Marvy
  • Buttons - hydrangeahippo.etsy.com
  • Paper by Jillibean Soup, Pink Paislee, American Crafts
  • Cardstock - Bazzill
