WEEK 16 - HOW TO FIND INSPIRATION ANYWHERE

Hi everyone! Jen here with my very first post to the Layout-A-Week blog.  I am super excited to have been asked to join the design team here and hope you enjoy what I have in store for you.

This month we were asked to go with an Easter theme or pastel colours (yes, colours, I am from Canada! haha).  I was thinking on this theme when I saw this gift card at Starbucks.  I immediately took out my phone and snapped a photo of it as I thought it would be the perfect inspiration for my layout.

I really loved the bright colours and how the white egg shapes contrasted with them.  I even loved the gold writing and font!  So I took this idea and decided to use strips of patterned paper to mimic the colours and a flowery design cut on my Silhouette to frame the page.

Here is my layout:

I also did a process video of this for you:

I hope you enjoy and find some scrappy inspiration around you too. I'd love to see what you do so please link up and share your layouts too.

Thanks for stopping by!

Jen
